Escape the Vape with Sound Support
Vaping may feel different from smoking, but it’s just as harmful and addictive — and quitting can be tough without help. The Trust is here to make it easier with voluntary, confidential Quit Tobacco programs that are fully paid for by the Trust.
Why Quit Vaping?
Even though e-cigarettes don’t contain tobacco, they’re not safe. Most vapes contain nicotine — a highly addictive chemical that can harm brains, lungs, and overall health.
Vaping can expose you to:
- Nicotine, which is highly addictive and can harm brain development in youth and young adults
- Cancer-causing chemicals and heavy metals
- Flavoring agents linked to serious lung disease
- Tiny particles that can be inhaled deep into your lungs and cause damage
The truth: Scientists are still learning about the long-term effects of vaping, but what we already know is concerning. Quitting now can protect your health, lower stress levels, and even boost your mood and energy.
To help you make the decision to quit tobacco, start with understanding why it’s important to you. Download the Why I’m Quitting Tobacco worksheet to help you identify the reasons you’re ready to quit tobacco for good.
