This can cause people to miss work, and leave them unable to care for those who depend on them \u2013 like children or aging parents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Common adult immunizations include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shingles<\/li>\n<li>Pneumococcal disease<\/li>\n<li>Influenza<\/li>\n<li>HPV<\/li>\n<li>Hepatitis B<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Do you and your family have immunity to the Measles virus?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To determine if you are immune to the measles, answer these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do you have the form from when you got your vaccinations?<\/li>\n<li>Have you had the measles before?<\/li>\n<li>Were you born before 1957?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you cannot answer \u201cyes\u201d to any of these, you may be at risk of contracting he measles. If you don\u2019t know if you are immune or not, the\u00a0CDC\u00a0recommends at least one dose of MMR vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Vaccine preventable illnesses haven\u2019t gone away, and being vaccinated is as important to your overall health as diet and exercise. Some vaccines, including those for HPV and Hepatitis B, can even help prevent certain forms of cancer.
